Outlook 2016 authentication prompt with email address as username Posted: by alexjdale Someone just brought this to my attention today: Outlook 2016, when it needs to prompt for user credentials to authenticate (if I delete my Exchange keychain entry for example), automatically fills in the user's email address in the 'user name' field rather than their username. Many comments, such as this one by report that the problem is fixed. AT&T is known to have an issue with passwords (yet their support staff blames Outlook). Yahoo / AT&T Users If you use an Yahoo-affiliated account, it's less likely the password cache is corrupt. Note that this will wipe out all saved passwords for your user account.
